The stations, symbols of broken connections, become the starting point for a reflection on the condition of the Sicilian land, where the once-thriving railway system today stands as a testament to gradual abandonment and a slow process of disconnection. The chosen stations, emblematic of the local reality, were once vital crossroads and now tell the story of isolation, marked by traces of a past that seems to remain still, almost frozen in time.
Through the intertwining of geometries and the layering of materials, the installations operate on three different scales: the station, as an architectural unit; the geometric composition, reflecting the relationship between space and form; and the room, a place of experience where the viewer confronts the sense of abandonment and the inaccessibility of the space. Each installation thus becomes a reflection on decay and the possibilities of rebirth through the creative reclaiming of space.
